On World Tourism Day (aka Thursday 27th September), we hosted our first ever event as part of the series ‘Globelle Gatherings’ at Hatch, Homerton in London to explore the theme of Sustainable Travel.

  • What is Sustainable Travel?

  • How has our understanding of sustainability changed in recent times?

  • How has this impacted our practises?

  • As the topic becomes ever more popular, what emerging trends should we encourage?

  • What changes can we all make for the future, in the way we live & travel, and what are the major challenges that we still all face?

We gathered together a panel of female speakers passionate about our chosen topic to tackle these questions, and a few more.

The evening started with with a drinks reception alongside some delicious vegetarian & vegan nibbles. Once we got settled, we began the discussion of our theme by our panellists (led by Globelle Travels founder, Deborah Widdick).
